It is hard to sympathise with George Osborne. Apparently he was devastated by the result of the referendum result on Brexit, knowing that it was not just a disaster for the country but also the end of his political career. For a start if he thought the result would be so disastrous why did he allow the government to hold a referendum? Pure arrogance on his and Lord Cameron’s part seems the most likely. But also a complete disregard for the good of the country.
