If it was not so sad it would be hilarious, watching the increasing convoluted arguments that Brexiteers now use to claim that Brexit is going wrong through no fault of their own. We have moved on seamlessly and very quickly from; “We have them over a barrel”, “We hold all the cards”, “The easiest deal in history, over in an afternoon” and my favourite “They need us more than we need them”. Now it is; “This deal was forced on us”, “We were bullied”, “The EU is punishing us for daring to leave” and “They took advantage of our weakness”.
