It is a nonsense that there is less traffic between GB and Ireland and more between GB and Northern Ireland when there is no physical border between the Republic and Northern Ireland. All to avoid sillyboys paperwork. If the EU wants to play silly whatsits nobody will stop them as the fudge arguably sorts both parties needs. The EU is pretending to achieve a united Ireland and Northern Ireland is still part of the UK. Will the EU win this tussle we will have to wait and see. Nasty is as nasty does.

If I was Boris I'd be doing all I could to ween Ireland away from the EU. IRexit was conceived long before Brexit was achieved so they don't love the EU that much.

I'm not disappointed 150,000 lorries per annum from the EU go directly to Ireland. No problem, save our road surfaces, road traffic congestion our lungs and reduces our carbon emissions.

I accept it makes illegal entry to the UK via Dover harder as there are fewer empty lorries to be filled with illegals but that is a good thing hopefully? How many illegals are now going to Ireland from France and into the UK that way - Now there is a question?
