I agree with every word. The electorate is finally realising that it's time to remove the lunatics who have taken over the asylum, but I fear they will expect quick fixes to disasters that either can't be reasonably rectified or will take years.

I think Jonty (and others) are too kind to them - calling them incompetent implies they’re valiantly trying to work beyond their skill set, or at least they are helpless in the face of circumstance.

I’d argue they knew exactly what they were trying to do as soon as Cameron took the reins - re establishing feudalism. Why else would they have pathologically preached their doctrine of austerity even as it was evidently not working, while printing money that never trickled down?

We’re now back to two classes - the landowners and the peasants - as a direct result of years of determined effort to demonise the poor while making it impossible to get yourself ahead (eg 40% tax on a second job, wages paid monthly in arrears vs rent paid double up front).
