According to the Tory leadership candidate, Robert Jenrick, our Special Forces are murdering suspected terrorists rather than arrestingthem, because the ECHR might make us release them. This is quite a story.
Either Mr. Jenrick has revealed a state secret of the most important kind and put our forces in danger as a result or he is lying. So let us ask a few questions to decide which is true.
How does he know this?
Was he in Cabinet when this was debated and approved?
Who was Defence Secretary when the orders were given?
When and where did these murders happen?
How many suspects have been murdered by our soldiers?
What guarantees have our troops been given that they will not be prosecuted for murder?
When did he tell the police that this was happening?
What evidence does he have to give to the police?
Which officers approved and passed on these totally illegal orders?
Does the new government know this is going on?
In short, if you think about the possible answers to those questions, he is lying or if he is not he needs to be questioned by the police immediately. Conspiracy to murder is a very serious crime, ECHR or no ECHR, strange that a candidate to lead the party of law and order should not know that.
Economics, trade and Brexit, not necessarily in that order but the dog always comes first.

Once upon a time politicians et al were merely economical with the truth, now (since bojo?) they lie their asses off. What a state we’re in
Nasty piece of right-wing work. He thinks promising to leave the ECHR (no ifs, no buts...) is his trump card for clinching the leadership.
