The Tory party’s campaigning has reached what we might call the George Osborne moment, named after the time the then Chancellor realised Leave might win the referendum and started panicking and throwing out ever more outrageous claims about what a Remain defeat would mean.
Claims that have provided lots of cover for Leave’s complete cockup of Brexit.
Now we hear that Labour will “bankrupt all generations”, that we will have a despotic socialist dictatorship for years and a “supermajority” which means the government can do whatever it wants. Since you can do that with a majority of one in the UK and they never complained that they had too many seats when in power we can take this Tory panic with a pinch of salt.
But to get a real idea of the damage that 14 years of Tory rule have actually done I suggest you read the FT this morning and its interview with Rob Johnson, until recently director of the the Ministry of Defence’s office of net assessment and challenge. So the man who checks what the armed forces are really capable of.
To be blunt our armed forces are little more than a nice bunch of marching bands and smart uniforms, perhaps capable of humanitarian relief or trooping the colour. The navy doesn’t have enough ships to protect our shores, the RAF needs double the aircraft and the army doesn’t have anything like enough tanks. We don’t have enough ammo and lack the means to rapidly increase out stockpiles.
After 14 years of flag shagging, by the party which claims to be “considerable more patriotic than you”, this is what we have. Even Ukraine has not stirred these idiots into action and for why? Because there is no money or to be more accurate there is plenty of money for millionaire tax cuts, worthless PPE contracts, and trickle down economics.
But health, schools, roads and most importantly defence? No, it has all gone, this time there really is no more money, not even for the defence of the realm. The government has known this for years, so has everyone else including the Russians and the Americans, we are little more than a joke.
For that reason alone the Tory party deserves to die.
Economics, trade and Brexit, not necessarily in that order but the dog always comes first.

They truly deserve to be buried under a mountain of their own shit. Desperately trying to cling on to power they don’t deserve and didn’t/couldn’t use for the whole country. Such shameful behaviour, on their part and from the awful quasi-fascist Mail, Express, etc deserves nothing less than annihilation
