The NHS and tax cuts
Satisfaction with the NHS has reached an all time low. Time for the Tufton St. gang to get on the air and claim that the NHS is dead and needs burying, while we adopt a USA style health system.
One where life expectancy is lower than it is now in the UK despite America, spending almost twice what the UK does on health. The only stat you need to know to realise the American system is aweful.
It achieves this by making health insurance company owners millionaires many times over, when all they do is take money from very large insurance premiums and give it to doctors. But only after arguing over every bill and drug and treatment, and failing to cover many diseases at all.
Oh and then those deeply caring hospitals, doctors and nurses will pursue you on your death bed and your relatives and family after your death for the money you owe.
Or, we could just fund the NHS properly.
But to do that the government has to care more about the nation’s health than it does about tax cuts, it can’t have both.
Economics, trade and Brexit, not necessarily in that order but the dog always comes first.
