The battle continues... for some
Well it is only the 13th day of Brexit and already the Brexiteers are complaining that this is not what they wanted. It seems a bit early for that considering they always covered their backs by claiming there would be some “disruption” in the first weeks or months of Brexit; but that it would soon sort itself out and the UK would then accelerate towards the sunlit uplands.
But that hasn’t stopped the DUP and Sir John Redwood shooting out of the stalls in a flash, complaining the deal with the EU isn’t working and we’d be better off without it.
To be fair to the DUP they didn’t vote for this deal, although they did campaign and vote for Brexit. I assumed Sir John did vote for it a full 15 days ago but now I have checked I find he didn’t vote either way.
Even so, this must be some kind of record and shows, it is difficult to please a group of people who want something very badly but can’t agree on what it should be and impossible to please a group of people who believe in something, despite the facts.
