Satire is dead..
“Satire is dead” was originally said when Henry Kissinger won the Nobel Peace Prize but the brexiteers are taking it to new levels.
Apparently the fact that there are not enough fruit and veg pickers or van drivers is because Brussels has “imposed” ridiculous red tape on the UK. The fact that the UK demanded an end to free movement is nothing to do with it, it is of course the fault of the EU, just like everything bad always will be.
Why “freedom” and “independence” and “sovereignty” don’t mean we can do as we want and are still bound by Brussels red tape, is never explained. But there is a solution, from twitter.
The simple answer is to bus all benefit claimants to the fields and force them to pick veg from dawn to dusk, or even introduce two years of National Service; working on farms. This would, it is claimed, give the young a sense of what the world of work is really like.
Simples as they say.
