Since the ERG and other assorted swivel eyed loons are incapable of seeing what they are doing and how dangerous it is for everyone including them, I shall quote from A man for all seasons.
“William Roper: “So, now you give the Devil the benefit of law!”
Sir Thomas More: “Yes! What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?”
William Roper: “Yes, I'd cut down every law in England to do that!”
Sir Thomas More: “Oh? And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned 'round on you, where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country is planted thick with laws, from coast to coast, Man's laws, not God's! And if you cut them down, and you're just the man to do it, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I'd give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety's sake!”
― Robert Bolt, A Man for All Seasons: A Play in Two Acts
Are these Tories really so thick as to not realise that if you destroy the rule of law it is destroyed for everyone for ever, including them? Apparently they are and this government of cowards is willing to have breakfast with them, placate them, hear them out and appease them.
Tories appeasing - remind me how did that work out last time?
Economics, trade and Brexit, not necessarily in that order but the dog always comes first.

The words from 'A Man for All Seasons' resonate so well. My school arranged a visit to see the film at the local cinema when it first came out, and I was completely blown away by More's integrity (not to mention the cinematography and the acting). So moved was I that I insisted on taking my mum to see it two days later. Never seen a film twice in a week since.
