Winston Churchill was a micro manager, even to the extent of preparing a guide to how to name operations.
From memory the basic rules were:
Don’t give anything away, so Operation Overlord not Operation invade Normandy on June the 6th or Operation Save Big Dog.
There should be no pessimism or hubris in the name, so no Operation Forlorn Hope or Triumph Assured and certainly no Operation Save Big Dog.
The name should be solid so Operation Pedestal, but not Operation Save Big Dog.
And finally nothing frivolous; no-one wants to know that their nearest and dearest made the ultimate sacrifice in Operation Shagger, let alone Operation Save Big Dog.
Economics, trade and Brexit, not necessarily in that order but the dog always comes first.
I see you have the rapier out for a swish today.
This made me laugh!!
