Nothing lost or found.....
The news that increasingly large numbers of people think that Brexit has gone badly is of no importance what so ever. The vote was lost in 2016.
But interestingly the Brexit ultras care and are driven by its unpopularity to fall back again and again on the idea that people voted to return sovereignty to the UK. This apparently justifies all costs, damage and broken promises.
It was all worth it and buyer’s remorse is nothing to worry about.
They have to think this, not least because every other supposed benefit is vanishing before their eyes. But here again they are wrong and the remainers need to take them on in their last bastion.
It is impossible to lose sovereignty by joining an international club where member states agree to share some powers so long as they think it is in their benefit and which they can leave at any time.
I have said this many times but it does bear repeating, the UK was always sovereign.
You can tell the Brexiteers are wrong by looking at what they say about fishing. Apparently if the UK gives French boats licences to fish in British waters it is not sovereign.
Utter tosh, French boats need UK permission to fish in its waters just like they did when the UK was in the EU and agreed to the CFP.
No sovereignty has been lost or gained.
Economics, trade and Brexit, not necessarily in that order but the dog always comes first.
