Not on the bus
The Brexit mob now claim that all the costs of Brexit are worth it because the UK regained its sovereignty.
Something we never lost has been “regained” and everything else is worth it.
They even claim that they said this at the time, that it was always obvious there would be costs and that everyone who voted for Brexit voted for this.
Well, they didn’t. We all know that.
The work has been done by polling experts: people voted for more money for the NHS, for fishing rights, better farm subsidies, higher growth, lower immigration and a dozen other things.
They got none of them but are now told that is alright because that is not what they were promised, not what they expected. They have apparently mis-remembered.
52% of the population has forgotten what they voted for.
How very strange.
Economics, trade and Brexit, not necessarily in that order but the dog always comes first.
