No show Sunak
Our glorious leader, one R. Sunak, is not going to bother attending the UN General Assembly this year, the first UK leader to miss it in 10 years. But why?
He certainly isn’t too busy, the government has virtually nothing to do. It seems to be that the PM doesn’t do green.
After all he tried to opt out of COP27 summit but there was so much outrage that he had to go in the end. Now he is proudly boasting about pumping more oil and gas, it might get embarrassing.
The UN assembly is a great talking shop where leaders can compare progress and come under pressure to do more, not less.
But as a brave new Britain, trading around the world and tilting towards the Pacific, no longer shackled by the chains of the EU, free and sovereign at last; you might thing promoting the UK should be top of the PM’s agenda. Shouldn’t he be using our newly regained power to move the world towards a better future?
He really ought to go or people might get the idea that he is some kind of billy no mates, who stays at home and sulks about the big boys who ignore him.
Economics, trade and Brexit, not necessarily in that order but the dog always comes first.
