As Winston Churchill said “History will be kind to me, because intend to write it.” Which is what the far right of the Tory party is now trying to do.
It seems that every second article in the right wing Tory supporting press is about how this is not a “real” Conservative government, how the true believers have been squeezed out and now, the latest one, how Conservative Central Office is busy parachuting “wets” into constituencies as candidates. Many of whom don’t seem to be Brexit supporters or even think that the answer to any and all problems is to cut taxes and sink the small boats.
These are obviously the first shots in the next front in the Tory civil war, the fight to take over the party after the election; which the far right intends to win. They claim to have been betrayed by Tory MPs shifting towards socialism, and they really do think this stuff is true.
This will involve the right re-writing history. If they lose the election the right will blame the old school one nation Tories and claim that it is they who have drifted to the left. They will sell themselves as the true blue real Thatcherite Tories
We got Brexit, we have had years of austerity, the country is virtually defenceless and nothing works, and yet the Tory are going to fight to the death in the hope they can make things even worse.
Good luck to them.
Economics, trade and Brexit, not necessarily in that order but the dog always comes first.

The only hope is that they only make things even worse just for themselves, make themselves totally unelectable and leave Labour to try and sort out the shit they will inherit while the gammons merely snipe at each other in the Torygraph, Daily Wail etc
