Echo Chambers
The news that the Chambers of Commerce want a better deal with the EU than the one negotiated, signed and passed into law by Mr B Johnson is no surprise.
Putting its head over the barricade and waiting to be denounced as a sore loser, a remain fanatic or just unpatriotic is unusual these days.
The Government has cynically used it weight, power and influence to belittle the organisations that represent industry and business.
What ever happened to the party of business? Surely Labour should be moving into this territory?
A little bit of tea and sympathy, a promise to sort out the mess and cut billions in border red tape and unnecessary checks and they would have these groups eating out of their hand.
They don’t want much, just a competent government that knows what it is talking about.
Economics, trade and Brexit, not necessarily in that order but the dog always comes first.
