Delusions
I only know of two films about ice hockey. One is a very funny movie with Paul Newman in it called, I think, Slapstick and one is an American flag waver about the Miracle of Lake Placid.
Which brings us to the fact that Canada and the USA will face off against each other in the Olympic ice hockey final on Sunday. I am sure we are all hoping for a fair, rule abiding display of the very best that the ice rink has to show us and a truly history making performance of Olympian standards and ethics; or a bloodbath. Take your pick.
However whatever happens Donald Trump will win, because he has nothing to do with losers only winners. If the US team are reduced to pulp in a Canadian Corinthian contest, he will just ignore it.
Fortunately for the rest of the world he could not quite ignore the Supreme Court decision yesterday, and we got to see the self preening, inadequate, nasty, bitter, traitor at his worst.
I must admit that for my mental health I have stopped watching Trump’s tirades in their entirety but yesterday was an exception and I was forced to watch the whole pathetic performance. Accusing Supreme Court judges of being under foreign influence and daring to limit his powers, he went on to ignore the judgement and threaten destruction on any country that stood in his way.
Meanwhile the UK Tory party leader told TV news that she would have got a tariff free trade deal with Trump, unlike everyone else in the world. Yep sure Kemi!
It is hard to think who is the most delusional, her, Trump or those hoping for a fair and peaceful game on Sunday.
But I know who I will be cheering for.

I've stopped reading, watching listening to: Trump, Hegseth, Bondi, anyone on Fox, Farage and his entire gang, Badenoch, Starmer, Keussenberg, Morgan, Hopkins, Kyle, Julie 2-names, Clarkson, Moneyshot, Y-L/TR (never watched GB news anyway) - in fact, I've almost stopped doing anything except rage and howl at the moon.
I have a laminated copy of Dylan Thomas's 'do not quietly into this good night' sat by my latop and read that - it's laminated so that I can clean off the coffeee spills!
Jeez!
