Cheer up, it has only been a week.
If any one needs a good laugh this morning, I can only recommend the Sunday Telegraph. Which seems to think that what it really needs to do to help the Tory party over its thrashing is to give senior Tories the space to write stories about the way ahead.
Apparently Labour are threatening our food security, our energy system, our security, are putting out the welcome mat for asylum seekers, and are planning to expand the civil service rather than cut it even further.
The icing on the cake is a ”think piece” by none other than Liz Truss, remember her? Who says that 14 years of Tory government failed because they didn’t roll back Blairism.
The lack of self knowledge and awareness is frightening in Mrs Truss.
But then she is just the worst of a bad bunch, already positioning themselves to takeover the sinking boat and head further to the right.
Good luck, you’ll need it.
Economics, trade and Brexit, not necessarily in that order but the dog always comes first.

Having since this read Stewart Lee in The Observer I have discovered that apparently I am a “fully paid-up member of the tofu-munching metropolitan liberal elite wokerati” - so obviously everything I say should be ignored and I should be forced to read the torygraph for ever. Them’s the breaks
