An economic superpower and.....
I woke up to the news that the EU has given the world’s technology giants 2 years to get their act in order and start using the same chargers and cables. The savings are nice, not massive but another small step in the right direction.
The UK government is yet to say whether to follow suit, or if it will back the tech giants in ripping off their customers.
It is what an economic super power can do, stand up to the giant companies and make them do the right thing. Its neighbours tend to follow its lead because of the benefits it has won and the fact that they desperately need to do business with and within the EU.
Unless of course you think that coordinating charging cables is a desperate threat to your sovereignty and must be fought tooth and nail.
You know, the sensible option.
Economics, trade and Brexit, not necessarily in that order but the dog always comes first.
