Hurrah a general election at last. Strange that only the other day the PM was telling us all that the great British public didn’t want an election, I wonder what could have changed his mind?
This week we had the inflation figures which miraculously came down because of the unstinting hard work of one R. Sunak.
Then there will shortly be some immigration figures which will show that by strangling the British economy of the staff it needs you can bring down immigration.
Then there will be the Bank of England, will it cut interest rates? It is close to starting to lower rates but doing it during a general election would look suspect. But I bet Mr. Sunak is betting on that happening.
Finally there are growth figures, we have already had the PM telling the world that British growth is outpacing even the USA, as if.
Chance would be a fine thing, but we are going to get a lot more of this, all “the plan is working” guff. But I suspect that on the economy and on many other issues the great British public have made their minds up already.
14 wasted years, 14 years of failure and regression. Can 6 weeks turn that around? I don’t think so.
Economics, trade and Brexit, not necessarily in that order but the dog always comes first.

14 catastrophic years and all we get are fear tactics - trying to scare people over Russia, China, migrants etc - nothing about tory achievements, and god knows there’s so fucking many it’s impossible to choose …
14 years of planned economic and civic vandalism and chaos, and organized embezzlement of public funds.
And gaslighting.
